Vaccinations That I may require?
This varies according to the region you are residing in, your previous history and
itinerary. As a guideline however the following may apply:
India/Asia/Pacific
- Typhoid (every 3 years).
- Hepatitis A (25 year protection after 2 doses administered, ideally 6 to 12 months apart)
- Tetanus Diptheria Polio generally every 10 years
- Rabies (3 doses over a month)
- Japanese encephalitis (2 doses over a month 28 days apart approximately.) for rural travel, the host (pigs and wading birds), the pathogen is transmitted by mosquitoes
- Hepatitis B (3 injections over either 3 weeks, 3 months or 6 months)
Africa
- Typhoid (every 3 years).
- Hepatitis A (25 year protection after 2 doses administered, ideally 6 to 12 months apart)
- Tetanus Diptheria Polio generally every 10 years
- Rabies (3 doses over a month)
- Hepatitis B (3 injections over either 3 weeks, 3 months or 6 months)

South America

The meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination is a compulsory visa requirement for individuals intending to/attending Hajj, however for those intending or attending Umrah it is a recommendation to get vaccinated.
